PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

These are the duties and obligations that patients must fulfill before and after applying to a healthcare institution.

Our patients are responsible for taking care of their own health and following the recommendations given for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In simple situations, individuals are responsible for taking care of themselves.

SOCIAL SECURITY STATUS:

Our patients are responsible for reporting any changes in their health, social security, or personal information in a timely manner.

INFORMING HEALTHCARE PERSONNEL:

Our patients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information about their complaints, previous illnesses, hospitalizations, current medications (if any), and all other relevant health information.

COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTHCARE INSTITUTION RULES

  • Our patients are responsible for complying with the rules and practices of the healthcare institution they apply to.
  • Our patients are responsible for following the referral chain established by the Ministry of Health and other social security institutions.
  • Our patients are responsible for cooperating with healthcare professionals during the treatment, care, and rehabilitation process.
  • Our patients are responsible for paying for examination and treatment expenses.
  • If the patient benefits from an appointment-based health facility, they are responsible for adhering to the appointment date and time and notifying the relevant department of any changes.
  • Our patients are responsible for respecting the rights of the institution’s staff, other patients, and visitors.
  • Our patients are responsible for compensating any damage caused to institutional property.

COMPLIANCE WITH TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Our patients are responsible for carefully listening to treatment and medication recommendations and asking questions about anything they do not understand.
  • If patients have difficulty following the treatment recommendations, they are responsible for informing their physician.
  • Our patients are responsible for confirming that they correctly understand the healthcare, treatment, and discharge plans.
  • Patients are responsible for the consequences that may arise from refusing treatment or not following medical advice.
  • They are responsible for attending check-ups at the times specified by the physician and providing feedback on the progress of the treatment.
  • They must comply with appointment times and inform the relevant department of any changes.
  • They must respect the rights of priority patients, other patients, and staff as stipulated by relevant legislation.
  • They must not engage in verbal or physical assaults toward personnel.
  • If patients believe their rights have been violated or if they encounter a problem, they should apply to the PATIENT RIGHTS UNIT.
